The Inn was owned by the Duncan's and Alexander's who were a mercantile family shipping out of Duck Trap or Saturday Cove.

In the 19th century, the Inn was also owned by the Pennington family and was used as a summer retreat for themselves and their guests (one of the Inns famous guests was President Wilson). It was here at the Inn that President Wilson coined the phrase "Seven miles to a yeast cake." given the Inn's proximity to Camden and Belfast where one would have to go in that time period to purchase yeast for bread making. Back in the earlier part of the 20th century, it was known as the Holiday Lodge and was operated by Mr. and Mrs. Farrell. In the 1960's, Joe Ryan owned it along with the Mount 'N Sea Motel. Today, the Inn is owned and operated by Maurice Trundy of Northport.

Following the tradition of past owners, Maurice offers his guest a wonderful, cozy, authentic Maine atmosphere, as well as great home cooking and good old fashioned hospitality to all that come to the Inn.Renee Adkins is our wedding coordinator , she can help you with all your personal touches that you would like at your wedding.  For more information please call our 1800?  Number Pat Small of  Patti Cakes Bakery will provide you with delicious, choice of flavor and  each cake is decorated with butter cream frosting ,  is custom made for your special wedding day.
